George weah is not being a good sport in politics. Heaven knows he lost the Nov. 8 elections. He could not have been elected by the Liberian people given his lack of education and experience because there is simply too much at skate for that country. George now has to see reason and backoff. This election has been conclusively won by Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. All George weah has to do is to be a good sportsman so he can earned the respect of the Liberian people and the international community at large.

Weah had also promised to bring low cost housing, electricity, running water, and better education to the countryside, where he himself lived for some time in the 1970s. He also called for the president's term in office to be reduced to four years from six. George Weah may be about to play in the hardest game of his life.

I believe that George was not well organised and had too many amateurs surrounding him. He speaks like an educated man and seems so intelligent. Most of all i think that if he was married to a Liberian or African woman things would be different. I am a Nigerian woman and we have heard talks of him loving and wanting to marry the daughter of Sir Gabriel Igbinedion, that is Omosede Igbinedion. I believe that this girl if what they say is true with all her educational qualifications and her family background will be a good choice for George Weah. Every man needs a good woman as his backbone. I am rooting for George and Omosede

Well said H. Varney Karnley. George Weah needs to be afforded the legal processes due after filing his complaint of vote fraud. The NEC of the Republic of Liberia is scheduled to give its decision by November 23rd I hear. After that, Mr. Weah and the CDC or for that matter Ms. Ellen Johnson-Sirlef and her Untiy Party should fully abide by the National Elections Commission decision.

Let's just hope that in the meantime and afterwards George Weah has the influence and control over the young hotheads threatening a return to war and chaos on the streets of Monrovia that he says he has. Right now Weah is sitting like a greased pig holding a short burning matchstick in a powder magazine.

I think we have been unfair to George Weah and his party. We all should encourage Justice and the Legal process he is going through now.I support anyone who seek justice when he is hurts, then violence.I believe he is a man of peace from his past records and even now he is calling on his supporters who are angry and who see violence as the way out to be calm and respect the law as he is going through the legal process of their case.

The record need to be set, that someone was unhappy of the election result and he went through the legal process and what ever the outcome was,he accepted it.That should be our prayer now. Then to criticize.

Criticize those who refused to accept the results in the 1985 and 1997 elections and did not forward their complain through the legal means instil went in the bushes, destoryed and disgraced our country. We all should respect the justice system of our country and encourage people who are hurt to go through that means then to criticize them.If someone is hurts he need to be Pat and not criticize and condemn. We all need peace back home because there is no where like home.

I had a debate with friends last night about George Weah's suitability to take over the reins of affairs in Liberia today.

My candid opinion? He should try again some other time.
