" The main motto of this campaign is “Russian internet without Jews”. "

do not be stupid. This is just one of the interpretation that also happen to be most favorable from the SUP's point of view - which makes it nauseous and its authors racists. SUP just refuses to admit (perhaps also to themselves) that there are other concerns and much more serious reasons for not accepting SUP in the position of authority over the russian sphere of LJ. There are plenty of Jews who opposed the deal no less energetically than "antisemites" and it has been a common knowledge that LJ belongs to "Jews".. and no one seems to give shit about it – except paradoxically for a couple of Jews. Demonstratively, this knowledge does not disturb those "antisemites" who sign for services.

Hi, Ethan
I believe you are truly interested what is going n behind these "protest" again the deal between LJ and SUP?
I would recommend you to use http://blogsearch.google.com to search for "Носик еврей" (Nosik Jew) . I'll find many post protesting again this deal. The main motto of this campaign is "Russian internet without Jews". Many people protest just because th CBO of the SUP is Anton Nosik, Jew, israeli.
Just try to search russian blogs and you will see what is going behind
Please read livejournals of some campaigners oboguev.livejournal.com, pioneer_l.livejournal.com, dm_krylov.livejournal.com. You'll see that many campaigner are not only anti-semits, but also racist, xenophonic.

Ethan -- Nice to see what you're up to...I'm not surprised given your earlier inclination s. My colleague, Evgeny, said he had a very good meeting with you the other week -- he was a student, now I occasionally contribute to the blog we both started, but my contribution is yet to materialize fully. Best wishes, Dick

Thanks, Drew. I've had a few reports lately that people are having trouble reaching the blog - I'm having some issues with my apache setup and have asked the folks who host my site for help. Hope we're able to clear it up soon.

Ethan,

Great work as always - wondering why your site often doesn't resolve for me (based in Boston)? Browser will often not resolve or give me DNR message - 'try again later' or something. This blog seems to be the only consistent victim of this. Thoughts?
