		<description>Does he talk at all about the inexplicit subsidies?  The distributed model of manufacturing only works if the associated pollution and environmental costs aren&#039;t part of the cost of the product.  And don&#039;t even get me started on the social costs.  

I wonder how much of our world we&#039;re going to wreck before we get back to the concept that there is such a thing as &lt;b&gt;honest&lt;/b&gt; business practices.

If anything goes in the pursuit of maximum shareholder value, why is slavery illegal?

(Don&#039;t mind me.  I live near one of those container ship ports, and, man, are those ships ugly.  I watch the truckers come rolling in at five in the morning after all night on the road to meet the &quot;just in time&quot; ship.  There are so many costs associated with the whole thing, and the people making the money don&#039;t have to pay any of them.  It just makes me mad.)</description>
