M-pesa, a money transfer service, has generated $7.5 million for Kenyan mobile phone operator Safaricom in three months since introduction. It’s not hard to believe that this business could eliminate traditional money transfer very quickly.

I see M-Pesa as more of a threat to debit (and possibly credit) cards.
