Product fakes are a problem all over the world. Ok, faked Nikee sneakers may be angry but fake medical drugs are more than an economic crime. I hope that the project will be successful. It would also be of good use in Russia where medical drug fakes can be found nearly in every drug store. Would be great to get more information. Keep on with that project

I have too many windows open to pages that I really would like to post extensive commentary on if I can just get around to it. • Virtual Ownership: Herman Miller makes the Aeron chair, and (quite appropriately) doesn't like...

Ethan, very good post. Thanks for picking up the mobile bandwagon! We should have coffee one of these days and catch up. Will you be at PopTech?

thanks for this post ethan. lots of concern about this issue now that some people are pushing a new "Cheaper Medicines Bill" that will allow "viajeras" to go to India, buy "cheap medicines" there and haul them back, in luggage and balikbayan boxes.

Simply amazing as a concept! My only question is will it be feasible on a large scale? I am really interested in knowing how this comes through. It is one of the boldest projects I have ever heard of in Africa.

Expired immunizations would be another great application for this. After some time the proteins in the immunizations denature, making the shot worthless.

Transparency International has a different focus on corruption each year and this year's is international healthcare. Could be an application for their research? Or at least a good conference pairing?

The scale of fakery is simply mindboggling. 30%, 50%, 80%!.

Murder, indeed.

Counterfeiting is also becoming a serious problem in the UK. A medical counterfeiting gang was recently apprehended. However, they were peddling Viagra, in Africa and Asia it is about lives.
