Dear Ethan,
Please spread the word! We have just inaugurated a group of Americans in Africa for Obama. We held our first informational meeting on April 17th at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra, and the response was great! We are excited to lend our support to this once in a lifetime candidate.

If you know of any other Americans in Africa who would like to join us, please direct them to our group page. The next MeetUp will be held in Lagos in May.

America has not been popular...
Then why do right wing pro american governments keep getting elected in Europe?

Also I read a news story where many Kenyans, due to the recent violence have stated they would rather vote for Hillary if they could, since Obama is from the Luo tribe, and all the other etnic groups are fighting each other - Obama even supported one of the Luo candidates, and this was seen as very partisan.

On the other hand, George Bush has poured money into Africa to fight Aids - much more than any previous president by several factors. The average life expectancy in Rwanda has gone up 5 years for example. George Bush is very popular in Africa.

Excellent point. In Europe at least, Obama has won over not only the people, but also the media. Reading the British, French, German papers over the last year has really brought this point home to me. If Americans have never been so unpopular as they are now, there has also never been such a focus of interest on an American election as this one. It is as if the rest of the world is just hoping beyond home that you will elect a politician that believes in international diplomacy.

That's the thing with Obama, people realise there is a need for change and he can bring it. Clinton seems somewhat status quo. American needs change and it seems Obama can bring it!

Still undecided, myself. And mainly for the reasons you pointed out at the beginning of your piece. Ultimately, I'll probably be fine with either candidate (though of course one is certainly more inspiring and motivating an orator than the other...) winning the nomination in the end.
But two interesting points:
First, the Times did a video, taken last week, of recently naturalized citizens in New York (Brooklyn and Queens). Curiously, and though I do agree with your thoughts on Obama as a stronger 'globalist,' many of the interviewees talked about their support for Hillary. (http://tinyurl.com/22gkt6)
Secondly, I met Ted Kennedy (first time ever!) in person this past Friday night in Palo Alto. Randomly, in a restaurant. I shook his and Vicki's hands and told them I was from the Commonwealth (of Mass). They asked where I was voting in the primary and when I said my vote "didn't go very far" in Massachusetts, they gasped and disagreed. So there you go - maybe every vote does count, even if you think you may just be agreeing with all of your neighbors...
