		<description>This is a US study, and it would be interesting to know if anything similar has been noted abroad.  Drawing from my limited experience, the excellent breadth of overseas coverage that was offered by the good Ecuadorian papers (though it did lack depth, usually being confined to wire service reports) has diminished considerably in recent decades.</description>
