I see that even after all these years, you&#039;re still unregenerate ;)  You&#039;re right about one thing, though:  as long as net users see themselves as &quot;consumers&quot; as opposed to &quot;citizens,&quot; the producers -- the ones giving them the things they want to &quot;consume&quot; -- are the ones with the important power.  I don&#039;t think the final word has been spoken on that one, though - I&#039;m not convinced that there won&#039;t come a time, maybe even soon (or sooner than you think) where people start thinking about citizenship and the Net, not as &quot;citizens of the Net,&quot; perhpas, but as citizens of the world who interact with one another on the Net.  That, I think, will change things ... 
Anyway, very glad I transported you back to Williamstown, at least for a while - those were some heady days and wonderful conversations.
