Working vacation

I’m on the road for the next ten days, with stops in New York, Prague and Budapest. It’s a vacation of sorts… or, more to the point, a business trip that my lovely, patient and forgiving wife is joining me for. (Real vacations don’t involve airplanes, as far as I’m concerned.)

So that we have a slightly higher percentage chance of seeing the beautiful cities we’re passing through and of staring into each others’ eyes instead of into our laptop screens, I’ll be blogging less than usual – perhaps once or twice during the whole trip, instead of my usual post or two a day.

(I’ll miss you, too.)

Back to my usual posting schedule in late November.

  1. Hello, My name is Bemani Sands and I’m a journalism student at the University of the District of Columbia in Washington D.C. I’m really impressed about your stories and travels as you take your working vacation. As a son of a diplomat I traveled extensively all throught out Africa and lived in five different countries from Egypt, Morocco, Uganda, Ghana and the DRC. I’m currently writing an article for the university newspaper called the Free voice about a working vacation and have been asked by my teacher to get a quote from a person who has experienced or is currentlt taking a working vacation. What do you think has been the most enjoyable about your working vacation. Do you think you are just as focused on your job on a working vacation than if you were at your office? Your response would be tremendously appreiciated You can E-mail me at Bemanisands@Hotmail.com

    Thanks,
    Bemani Sands
